Sobre

"Uninvited: AI in Your Clinical Practice: What Every Psychotherapist Needs to Know" is an on-demand continuing education course designed to equip mental health clinicians with the foundational knowledge, ethical frameworks, and practical tools they need to navigate the growing presence of artificial intelligence in clinical settings. Unlike AI courses that focus on tool adoption or efficiency, this course centers the clinician’s ethical obligation and awareness of embedded AI tools in the EHRs, telehealth platforms, insurance review systems, and billing software that clinicians use every day, often without their knowledge or their clients’ meaningful consent. This course treats that reality as the starting point. Participants will develop a working vocabulary for AI concepts relevant to clinical practice, examine documented cases of AI-caused harm with particular attention to marginalized and vulnerable populations, review what current professional ethics codes require of clinicians in technology-integrated environments, and apply structured frameworks for evaluating the tools already present in their practice. The course concludes with a module on clinical advocacy, examining how clinicians’ voices have already shaped AI policy and design; and how staying informed strengthens that influence.
