This self-paced eCourse offers 2 CE hours* (see below for details) and is designed to equip psychotherapists with foundational knowledge and practical skills for integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into their clinical practice. As AI evolves, it's crucial for mental health professionals to understand its implications, applications, and ethics. This course will explore the history of AI, its connection to the human brain's neural networks, and its growing impact on mental health services. Participants will gain hands-on experience with AI Large Language Models (LLMs) such as Chat GPT and Google Gemini, learning how to leverage these tools to enhance client services, manage private practice, and expand income streams. In addition, participants will learn about AI use, client confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance; they will also identify opportunities for shaping the future of AI in mental healthcare to ensure equitable client services. All participants will receive a (non-CE) Certificate of Completion upon completion. *CE Note: This course offers 2 CEs. To receive your CEs: Pass each module quiz (7) with an 80% score or higher. Complete the course evaluation within seven (7) days of completing the course (evaluation link provided at the end of the course). Once these requirements are met, CE credits will be provided within 14 days of completing the final quiz. Please note, your state licensing board dictates whether self-study is an acceptable form of continuing education, as well as which credit types are acceptable for continuing education hours. Please refer to your state rules and regulations.
